Amendment of Code of Practice for Competition in the Provision of Telecommunication Services
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 26(1) of the Telecommunications Act, the Info-communications Development Authority of Singapore hereby reviews and amends the Code of Practice for Competition in the Provision of Telecommunication Services, with effect from 29th January 2003, in the manner set out in paragraph 2.
2.  Appendix Two to the Code of Practice for Competition in the Provision of Telecommunication Services (G.N. No. S 412/2000) is amended by deleting paragraphs 4.2.2 and 4.2.2.1 and substituting the following paragraph:
4.2.2 Lead-in ducts, lead-in manholes and cable chambers
Lead-in ducts, lead-in manholes and cable chambers are ESF that house the copper, coaxial and fibre cables that connect to buildings. A Dominant Licensee must offer to lease the lead-in ducts, lead-in manholes and cable chambers to Facilities-based Requesting Licensees for the purpose of placing their own telecommunication transmission cables. The Dominant Licensee must maintain the lead-in ducts, lead-in manholes and cable chambers, and also be responsible for any right of way fees payable, where applicable.”.
