(Amendment) Rules 2022

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 44 of the Land Transport Authority of Singapore Act 1995, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Land Transport Authority of Singapore (Electronic Service System) (Amendment) Rules 2022 and come into operation on 30 June 2022.

Amendment of rule 2

2. In rule 2 of the Land Transport Authority of Singapore (Electronic Service System) Rules 2019 (G.N. No. S 417/2019) (called in these Rules the principal Rules) —

(a)	in the definitions of “CorpPass”, “CorpPass credential” and “LTA‑assigned authentication code”, replace “CorpPass” (wherever it appears) with “Corppass”; and
(b)	in the definitions of “LTA‑assigned authentication code”, “SingPass” and “SingPass credential”, replace “SingPass” (wherever it appears) with “Singpass”.

Amendment of rule 3

3. In rule 3 of the principal Rules —

(a)

in paragraph (1), replace “SingPass credential or a CorpPass credential” with “Singpass credential or a Corppass credential”; and

(b)

replace paragraph (2) with —

“(2) A person (being an individual) may use his or her Singpass credential as an authentication code to access and use the electronic service system —

(a)	with his or her account; or
(b)	on behalf of an entity with the entity’s account, if the entity has so authorised the person.”.

Amendment of rule 4

4. In rule 4 of the principal Rules —

(a)	in paragraph (2)(a)(i) and (ii), replace “person” with “person assigned the account”; and
(b)	in paragraph (3), replace “person mentioned in paragraph (1)” with “person assigned the account”.
