Customs (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 1996

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 143 of the Customs Act, the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following Regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Customs (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 1996 and shall come into operation on 1st January 1997.

2. Regulation 143 of the Customs Regulations is amended —

(a)	by deleting paragraphs (3) and (4); and
(b)	by renumbering paragraph (5) as paragraph (3). [Rg 2.] [S 234/93] [S 371/94] [S 141/95] [S 95/96]

3. Item 3 of the Second Schedule to the Customs Regulations is amended by deleting paragraph (1) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(1) Licence to manufacture tobacco < > $100,000”.
