Common Gaming Houses Act
(Chapter 49)
Common Gaming Houses (Sports Betting — Exemption) Notification 1998
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24(1) of the Common Gaming Houses Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Notification:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Notification may be cited as the Common Gaming Houses (Sports Betting — Exemption) Notification 1998 and shall come into operation on 1st January 1999.
Exemption
2.  The Singapore Pools (Private) Ltd. and its officers and authorised agents are hereby exempted from the provisions of the Act in respect of the promotion of any betting in connection with the S-League football matches in Singapore where the betting takes place at such premises as may be approved by the Minister.

Made this 10th day of October 1998.
