Air Navigation (Seletar Aerodrome Fees) (Amendment) Order 2008

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3(2)(o) of the Air Navigation Act, the Minister for Transport hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Air Navigation (Seletar Aerodrome Fees) (Amendment) Order 2008 and shall come into operation on 1st November 2008.

Amendment of paragraph 2

2. Paragraph 2 of the Air Navigation (Seletar Aerodrome Fees) Order (O 4) is amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “specified in paragraph 11(1)(b)” in the definition of “passenger security service charge” and substituting the words “of that description specified in paragraph 11(1)”; and
(b)	by deleting the words “specified in paragraph 11(1)(a)” in the definition of “passenger service charge” and substituting the words “of that description specified in paragraph 11(1)”.

Deletion and substitution of paragraph 11

3. Paragraph 11 of the Air Navigation (Seletar Aerodrome Fees) Order is deleted and the following paragraph substituted therefor:

“Charges to be paid by passengers

11.—(1) Subject to paragraph 12, the following charges shall be paid to the Authority by every passenger embarking on an aircraft at the aerodrome:

For passengers embarking before 1st January 2009

For passengers embarking on or after 1st January 2009

Passenger service charge

Passenger security service charge

Passenger service charge

Passenger security service charge

(2) The Authority may collect the passenger service charge and passenger security service charge referred to in sub-paragraph (1) —

(a)	in a lump sum of $16 from every passenger embarking on an aircraft at the aerodrome before 1st January 2009; or
(b)	in a lump sum of $18 from every passenger embarking on an aircraft at the aerodrome on or after 1st January 2009.”.

Savings

4. Notwithstanding paragraph 3, paragraph 11 of the Air Navigation (Seletar Aerodrome Fees) Order (O 4) in force immediately before 1st November 2008 shall continue to apply to any passenger who has purchased a passenger ticket before that date.
