Prisons Act
(CHAPTER 247)
Declaration of Prisons
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Prisons Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby declares the following places to be prisons for the purposes of the Act and defines the said places to be prisons for the custody of all classes of prisoners, convicted, remanded or detained under any written law, with effect from 15th December 1997:
(1)Jalan Awan Drug Rehabilitation Centre, Singapore 499421.
(2)Sembawang Drug Rehabilitation Centre, Singapore 759957.
