Passports (Authorised Officers) (Amendment) Regulations 2005

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3(1) of the Passports Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Passports (Authorised Officers) (Amendment) Regulations 2005 and shall come into operation on 15th August 2005.

Amendment of regulation 2

2. Regulation 2 of the Passports (Authorised Officers) Regulations (Rg 2) (referred to in these Regulations as the principal Regulations) is amended by deleting the words “the Schedule” and substituting the words “the First Schedule”.

Amendment of regulation 5

3. Regulation 5 of the principal Regulations is amended by inserting, immediately after the words “the Minister,”, the words “and such persons as may be specified in the Second Schedule”.

Renaming of Schedule and new Second Schedule

4. The Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended by renaming the Schedule as the First Schedule, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following Schedule:
