Factories (Building Operations and Works of Engineering Construction) (Amendment) Regulations 2002

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 68 and 77 of the Factories Act, the Minister for Manpower hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Factories (Building Operations and Works of Engineering Construction) (Amendment) Regulations 2002 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2002.

Amendment of regulation 16

2. Regulation 16 of the Factories (Building Operations and Works of Engineering Construction) Regulations (Rg 8) is amended by deleting paragraph (16) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(16) All temporary electrical installations shall comply with the Singapore Standard CP 88 : Part I : 2001, Code of Practice for Temporary Electrical Installations — Part 1: Construction and Building Sites, and any amendment thereto.”.
