Societies (Amendment) Regulations 1996
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 34 of the Societies Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Regulations:
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Societies (Amendment) Regulations 1996 and shall come into operation on 1st January 1997.
2.  Paragraph (1) of regulation 6 of the Societies Regulations is deleted and the following paragraph substituted therefor:
“(1)  The following fees shall be payable:
(a) in respect of an order to register any society
$250
(b) on a change of the place of business of a registered society
$20
(c) on a change of name of a registered society
$45
(d) in respect of any application to amend the rules of a registered society
$80
(e) by a registered society to register the use of a symbol
$26.”.

3.  Paragraphs (a), (b) and (c) of regulation 7 of the Societies Regulations are deleted and the following paragraphs substituted therefor:
“
(a) for inspecting any document
$30
(b) for a search in respect of a registered society
$5
(c) for a copy of or an extract from any document
$10 per page.
”.
