(Chapter 29)

Building Control (Outdoor Advertising) (Amendment) Regulations 2005

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 49 of the Building Control Act, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Building Control (Outdoor Advertising) (Amendment) Regulations 2005 and shall come into operation on 1st September 2005.

Amendment of regulation 5

2. Regulation 5(4) of the Building Control (Outdoor Advertising) Regulations (Rg 6) is amended by inserting, immediately after the words “12 months” in sub-paragraph (b), the words “subject to a minimum licence fee of $20”.

Amendment of regulation 7

3. Regulation 7(1) of the Building Control (Outdoor Advertising) Regulations is amended —

(a)

by deleting “$15” in sub-paragraph (a)(i) and substituting “$20”; and

(b)

by deleting sub-paragraph (ii) of sub-paragraph (a) and substituting the following sub-paragraphs:

“(ii)	$90 per licence if the advertisement or directional sign has an area of more than one square metre but not more than 5 square metres;
(iia)	$140 per licence if the advertisement or directional sign has an area of more than 5 square metres but not more than 10 square metres; or”.
