Central Provident Fund (Residential Properties Scheme) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 1999

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 77(1)(h) of the Central Provident Fund Act, the Minister for Manpower, after consultation with the Central Provident Fund Board, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Central Provident Fund (Residential Properties Scheme) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 1999 and shall come into operation on 15th December 1999.

Amendment of regulation 26

2. Regulation 26 of the Central Provident Fund (Residential Properties Scheme) Regulations (Rg 6) is amended —

(a)

by deleting sub-paragraph (d) of paragraph (1); and

(b)

by deleting paragraph (2) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(2) Upon the happening of any of the events mentioned in paragraph (1)(b) or (f), the member shall repay to the Board the amount agreed between the Board, the member and the mortgagee in respect of such sale or disposition of the residential property by the mortgagee or by any other person, or the amount of any compensation received by the member under the Land Acquisition Act (Cap. 152) or under any other written law, as the case may be.”.
