Employment of Foreign Manpower
(Levy Penalty) Order 2012

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 11(5) of the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act, Mr Tan Chuan-Jin, Senior Minister of State, charged with the responsibility of the Minister for Manpower, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Employment of Foreign Manpower (Levy Penalty) Order 2012 and shall come into operation on 9th November 2012.

Levy penalty

2. The penalty under section 11(4) of the Act for any unpaid levy shall be the greater of the following sums:

(a)	the sum calculated at the rate of 2% per month on the amount of levy outstanding;
(b)	the sum of $5.

Cancellation

3. The Employment of Foreign Manpower (Levy Penalty) Notification (N 1) is cancelled.
