Declaration 2021

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21, read with section 21A, of the Public Order Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Declaration:

Citation

1. This Declaration is the Public Order (National Day Parade 2021 (Ceremonial Parade)) Declaration 2021.

National Day Parade 2021 (Ceremonial Parade) is special event

2. The event known as the National Day Parade 2021 (Ceremonial Parade), taking place at The Float @ Marina Bay —

(a)	on 9 August 2021; or
(b)	on 14 August 2021 instead of sub‑paragraph (a),

is declared a special event for the purposes of Part III of the Act.

Special event area

3.—(1) The special event area for the National Day Parade 2021 (Ceremonial Parade) is the area around The Float @ Marina Bay described in the Schedule.

(2) However, any land that is not a public place is not part of the special event area.

Period of special event

4. The Declaration is in force —

(a)	if the National Day Parade 2021 (Ceremonial Parade) is held on 9 August 2021, for the period starting at 12 a.m. and ending at 12 noon on that day only; or
(b)	if the National Day Parade 2021 (Ceremonial Parade) is held on 14 August 2021 instead, for the period starting at 12 a.m. and ending at 12 noon on that day only.
