(Chapter 69)
Currency (Amendment) Regulations 2011
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 28 of the Currency Act, the Monetary Authority of Singapore hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Currency (Amendment) Regulations 2011 and shall come into operation on 11th February 2011.
Amendment of regulation 2
2.  Regulation 2 of the Currency Regulations (Rg 1) is amended by deleting the word “Board” in paragraph (c) and substituting the word “Authority”.
Amendment of regulation 3
3.  Regulation 3 of the Currency Regulations is amended —
(a)by deleting the word “Board” wherever it appears in paragraphs (1) and (2) and substituting in each case the word “Authority”; and
(b)by inserting, immediately after paragraph (4), the following paragraph:
(5)  For the avoidance of doubt, the fee specified in paragraph (1) or (2) shall not be payable to the Authority in respect of any currency note or coin, or any series thereof, during the period that the Authority’s functions in relation to the reissue and exchange of such currency note, coin or series (as the case may be) is transferred to another body pursuant to section 15(2) of the Act.”.
