Land Titles (Amendment) Rules 1999

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 170 of the Land Titles Act, the Minister for Law hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Land Titles (Amendment) Rules 1999 and shall come into operation on 20th December1999.

New rule 53A

2. The Land Titles Rules (R 1, 1999 Ed.) are amended by inserting, immediately after rule 53, the following rule:

“Closure of Registry

53A. Notwithstanding anything contained in these Rules, the Registry shall be closed on 31st December 1999, and on that day —

(a)	no instrument may be lodged for registration at the Registry; and
(b)	the land-register shall not be open to inspection.”.
