Order 2024

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 50 of the Resource Sustainability Act 2019, the Minister for Sustainability and the Environment makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order is the Resource Sustainability (Exemptions from Part 4B) Order 2024 and comes into operation on 12 July 2024.

Definitions

2.—(1) In this Order, “beverage product” has the meaning given by section 23M(1) of the Act.

(2) For the purposes of this Order —

(a)	a person is the producer of a beverage product if the person is a person described in section 23M(2) of the Act; and
(b)	a person is not a producer of a beverage product if the person is a person described in section 23M(3) of the Act.

Exemption from section 23V of Act

3. A producer of a beverage product is exempt from section 23V of the Act for the period from 12 July 2024 to 31 March 2026 (both dates inclusive).
