Immigration (Amendment) Regulations 2003

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 55(1) of the Immigration Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Immigration (Amendment) Regulations 2003 and shall come into operation on 2nd January 2003.

Amendment of regulation 14

2. Regulation 14 of the Immigration Regulations (Rg 1) is amended by inserting, immediately after paragraph (2), the following paragraph:

“(2A) Every application for a student’s pass shall be made in such manner as the Controller may approve, which may include the use of such electronic application service on what is commonly known as the Internet as the Controller may provide for this purpose.”.
