Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Amendment) Rules 2005

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 111 of the Road Traffic Act, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Amendment) Rules 2005 and shall come into operation on 4th January 2005.

Amendment of rule 48

2. Rule 48 of the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) Rules (R 14) is amended by inserting, immediately after paragraph (2), the following paragraph:

“(3) Notwithstanding paragraph (2), this rule shall not apply to a vehicle licensed as a school bus which has been fitted with a marking in accordance with rule 79A of the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Construction and Use) Rules (R 9).”.
