Employment (Children and Young Persons) (Amendment) Regulations 2004

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 70 of the Employment Act, the Minister for Manpower hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Employment (Children and Young Persons) (Amendment) Regulations 2004 and shall come into operation on 1st October 2004.

Deletion and substitution of regulation 3

2. Regulation 3 of the Employment (Children and Young Persons) Regulations (Rg 1) is deleted and the following regulation substituted therefor:

“Child below age of 13 years

3. Subject to section 68(2) of the Act, no child who is below the age of 13 years shall be employed in any occupation.”.
