Co-operative Societies (Composition of
Offences) (Amendment) Rules 2019

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 95 of the Co‑operative Societies Act, the Minister for Culture, Community and Youth makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Co‑operative Societies (Composition of Offences) (Amendment) Rules 2019 and come into operation on 4 September 2019.

Amendment of rule 2

2. Rule 2 of the Co-operative Societies (Composition of Offences) Rules 2008 (G.N. No. S 620/2008) is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after the word “offence”, the words “(other than a continuing offence)”;

(b)

by deleting paragraph (a) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(a)	section 16A(9), 16B(2), 34(9), 35(9), 65A(4), 93A(6), 97C(3), 99(2) or 100(1)(a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), (g) or (h) or (2) of the Act; or”;

(c)

by deleting paragraphs (b) and (c); and

(d)

by inserting, immediately after the words “rule 6(2)” in paragraph (d), the words “, 7A(2) or 9(2)”.
