Wholesome Meat and Fish (Exemption) (Amendment) Notification 2002

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 40 of the Wholesome Meat and Fish Act, the Director-General, Agri-Food and Veterinary Services hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Wholesome Meat and Fish (Exemption) (Amendment) Notification 2002 and shall come into operation on 2nd December 2002.

Amendment of Second Schedule

2. The Second Schedule to the Wholesome Meat and Fish (Exemption) Notification (N 1) is amended —

(a)	by inserting, immediately before the word “Australia” in the 1st line of the second column of item 1 (a), the word “Argentina,”;
(b)	by inserting, immediately after the words “New Zealand,” in the 4th and 5th lines of the second column of item 1 (a), the words “South Africa,”;
(c)	by inserting, immediately before the word “Australia” in the 1st line of the second column of item 1 (b), the word “Argentina,”;
(d)	by inserting, immediately after the word “Switzerland” in the 6th line of the second column of item 1 (b), the words “, United Kingdom”;
(e)	by inserting, immediately after the word “Ireland,” in the 5th line of the second column of item 1 (c), the word “Italy,”;
(f)	by inserting, immediately after the words “New Zealand,” in the 6th and 7th lines of the second column of item 1 (c), the words “South Africa,”;
(g)	by inserting, immediately after the word “Switzerland” in the 8th line of the second column of item 1 (c), the words “, United Kingdom”;
(h)	by deleting the words “A total of 5 kilogrammes per person of beef, mutton, pork and poultry.” in the third column of item 1 and substituting the words “5 kilogrammes per person, provided that the total quantity of the products referred to in this item does not exceed 5 kilogrammes per person.”; and
(i)	by deleting the words “10 kilogrammes per vehicle.” in the third column of item 2 and substituting the words “5 kilogrammes per person, subject to a maximum of 10 kilogrammes per vehicle where the vehicle is carrying more than 2 persons.”. [G.N. Nos. S 96/2001; S 647/2001]
