Customs Duties (Rebate on Motor Cars) (Amendment) Order 2000

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 16A of the Customs Act, the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Customs Duties (Rebate on Motor Cars) (Amendment) Order 2000 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2001.

Miscellaneous amendments

2. The Customs Duties (Rebate on Motor Cars) Order (O7) is amended —

(a)	by deleting the word “DUTIES” in the 3rd line;
(b)	by deleting the word “Duties” in paragraph 1;
(c)	by deleting the words “customs duties” in the 5th and in the 11th lines of paragraph 2(1) and substituting in each case the words “excise duties”; and
(d)	by deleting the words “Customs Duties” in the 12th line of paragraph 2(1) and substituting the words “Customs (Duties)”.
