(National Environment Agency — Exemption)
Order 2021

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 40 of the Remote Gambling Act 2014, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Order:

Citation

1. This Order is the Remote Gambling (National Environment Agency — Exemption) Order 2021.

Definitions

2. In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires —

“draw” means the draw to be held as part of the promotion at 40 Scotts Road, #17-00 Environment Building, Singapore 228231 at 3 p.m. on 1 October 2021;

“organiser” means the National Environment Agency established by section 3 of the National Environment Agency Act (Cap. 195);

“promotion” means the promotion called “Vote for your favourite public toilet design on ILOOMINATION Virtual Model Showcase Microsite” that is to be made available from 27 August 2021 to 5 September 2021 (both dates inclusive) on the website at www.cgs.gov.sg/iloomination;

“public accountant” has the meaning given by section 2(1) of the Accountants Act (Cap. 2).

Exemptions

3.—(1) The organiser is exempt from sections 11, 13, 15 and 17 of the Act in respect of the promotion and the draw.

(2) The organiser is exempt from sections 13, 15 and 17 of the Act from 23 August 2021 to 26 August 2021 (both dates inclusive) in respect of any prohibited act under any of those sections carried out for the purposes of the promotion and the draw.

(3) The exemptions are subject to compliance by the organiser with the conditions specified in the Schedule.
