Betting (Non-s. League Football Matches Betting — Exemption) Notification 2002

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 22(1) of the Betting Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Betting (Non-S. League Football Matches Betting — Exemption) Notification 2002 and shall come into operation on 13th December 2002.

Exemption

2.—(1) Singapore Pools (Private) Limited and its officers are hereby exempted from the provisions of the Act in respect of the promotion, organisation and operation of any betting in connection with any football match in Singapore if —

(a)	the football match is organised, sanctioned in writing or hosted by the Football Association of Singapore; and
(b)	the betting takes place at such premises as may be approved by the Minister.

(2) For the purpose of this Notification, “football match” does not include any S. League football match.
