Common Gaming Houses (Non-s. League Football Matches Gaming — Exemption) Notification 2002

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24(1) of the Common Gaming Houses Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Common Gaming Houses (Non-S. League Football Matches Gaming — Exemption) Notification 2002 and shall come into operation on 13 December 2002.

Exemption

2.—(1) Singapore Pools (Private) Limited and its officers and authorised agents are hereby exempted from the provisions of the Act in respect of the promotion, organisation and operation of any gaming in connection with any football match in Singapore if —

(a)	the football match is organised, sanctioned in writing or hosted by the Football Association of Singapore; and
(b)	the gaming takes place at such premises as may be approved by the Minister.

(2) For the purpose of this Notification, “football match” does not include any S. League football match.
