Medical and Elderly Care Endowment Schemes
(Medifund Committees) (Amendment No. 11)
Order 2017

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 14 of the Medical and Elderly Care Endowment Schemes Act, the Minister for Health makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.—(1) This Order is the Medical and Elderly Care Endowment Schemes (Medifund Committees) (Amendment No. 11) Order 2017 and, except for paragraphs 2 and 3(1), is deemed to have come into operation on 26 September 2017.

(2) Paragraph 2(d) is deemed to have come into operation on 1 May 2016.

(3) Paragraph 2(a) is deemed to have come into operation on 10 January 2017.

(4) Paragraph 2(c) is deemed to have come into operation on 24 July 2017.

(5) Paragraphs 2(b) is deemed to have come into operation on 5 September 2017.

(6) Paragraphs 2(e) and 3(1) are deemed to have come into operation on 18 September 2017.

Amendment of Part 1 of Schedule

2. Part 1 of the Schedule to the Medical and Elderly Care Endowment Schemes (Medifund Committees) Order 2015 (G.N. No. S 361/2015) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “Jamiyah Nursing Home” in the second column of item 15 and substituting the words “Jamiyah Nursing Home (Darul Syifaa)”;

(b)

by deleting the words “Sree Narayana Mission Home for the Aged Sick Medifund Committee” in the first column of item 37 and substituting the words “Sree Narayana Mission (Singapore) Medifund Committee”;

(c)

by deleting item (1) in the second column of item 37 and substituting the following item:

“(1) Sree Narayana Mission Nursing Home”;

(d)

by deleting item (2) in the second column of item 37 and substituting the following item:

“(2) Sree Narayana Mission Senior Care Centre (Woodlands)”; and

(e)

by deleting items (2), (3), (5), (6) and (7) in the second column of item 38.

Amendment of Part 2 of Schedule

3.—(1) Part 2 of the Schedule to the Medical and Elderly Care Endowment Schemes (Medifund Committees) Order 2015 is amended by inserting, immediately after item 4, the following items:

5.	St. Andrew’s Community Hospital Medifund Committee

(1)	Singapore Anglican Community Services — Hougang Care Centre

All classes of patients who receive treatment at the approved institutions before 1 July 2017.

(2)	Singapore Anglican Community Services — Simei Care Centre

(3)	Singapore Anglican Community Services — Community Rehabilitation and Support Services (Bukit Batok)

(4)	Singapore Anglican Community Services — Community Rehabilitation and Support Services (Pasir Ris)

(5)	Singapore Anglican Community Services — Community Rehabilitation and Support Services (Yishun)

6.	Singapore Anglican Community Services Medifund Committee

(1)	Singapore Anglican Community Services — Hougang Care Centre

All classes of patients who receive treatment at the approved institutions on or after 1 July 2017.

(2)	Singapore Anglican Community Services — Simei Care Centre

(3)	Singapore Anglican Community Services — Community Rehabilitation and Support Services (Bukit Batok)

(4)	Singapore Anglican Community Services — Community Rehabilitation and Support Services (Pasir Ris)

(5)	Singapore Anglican Community Services — Community Rehabilitation and Support Services (Yishun)

(2) Part 2 of the Schedule to the Medical and Elderly Care Endowment Schemes (Medifund Committees) Order 2015 as amended by sub‑paragraph (1) is amended by inserting, immediately after item (5) in the second column of item 6, the following item:

“(6) Anglican Care Centre (Farrer Park)”.
