Factories Act
(Chapter 104)
Factories (Medical Examinations) (Amendment) Regulations 2004
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 69 of the Factories Act, Dr Ng Eng Hen, Minister of State, Ministry of Education, charged with the responsibility of the Minister for Manpower, hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Factories (Medical Examinations) (Amendment) Regulations 2004 and shall come into operation on 1st November 2004.
Amendment of regulation 13
2.  Regulation 13(3) of the Factories (Medical Examinations) Regulations (Rg 6) (referred to in these Regulations as the principal Regulations) is amended by deleting the words “the form set out in the Third Schedule” and substituting the words “such form as the Chief Inspector may determine”.
Amendment of First Schedule
3.  The First Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended —
(a)by deleting sub-paragraph (ii) of item 2 (a) in Part I and substituting the following sub-paragraph:
(ii)Urine tt-muconic acid or urine s-phenylmercapturic acid estimation”; and
(b)by deleting sub-paragraph (ii) of item 2 (a) in Part II and substituting the following sub-paragraph:
(ii) Urine tt-muconic acid or urine s-phenylmercapturic acid estimation
 
Once in every 12 months
”.
Deletion of Third Schedule
4.  The Third Schedule to the principal Regulations is deleted.
