(Chapter 220)
Passports (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2009
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 60 of the Passports Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Passports (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2009 and shall come into operation on 28th December 2009.
Amendment of regulation 24
2.  Regulation 24(1) of the Passports Regulations 2007 (G.N. No. S 651/2007) is amended by inserting, immediately after the words “the Fourth Schedule”, the words “, provided that any application for such refund shall be received by the Controller before 1st January 2010”.
Amendment of Third Schedule
3.  Part III of the Third Schedule to the Passports Regulations 2007 is amended by deleting item 3 and substituting the following items:
“3.  Section 8(1)(b) or 33(1) or (2) of the repealed Moneylenders Act (Cap. 188, 1985 Ed.).
4.  Section 14(1) or 28(1) or (2) of the Moneylenders Act 2008 (Act 31 of 2008).”.
