(Speakers’ Corner — Exemption)
(Amendment) Order 2024
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 23(1) of the Public Entertainments Act 1958, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order is the Public Entertainments (Speakers’ Corner — Exemption) (Amendment) Order 2024 and comes into operation on 2 August 2024.
New paragraph 2A
2.  In the Public Entertainments (Speakers’ Corner — Exemption) Order 2023 (G.N. No. S 605/2023), after paragraph 2, insert —
“Non-applicability of paragraphs 3 to 6
2A.  Paragraphs 3 to 6 do not apply —
(a)the whole day on 9 August 2024 if the event known as the National Day Parade 2024 is held on 9 August 2024; and
(b)the whole day on 11 August 2024 if the event known as the National Day Parade 2024 is held on 11 August 2024.”.
