(Amendment) Regulations 2019

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 72(1) of the Estate Agents Act, the Council for Estate Agencies, with the approval of the Minister for National Development, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Estate Agents (Licensing and Registration) (Amendment) Regulations 2019 and come into operation on 1 October 2019.

Miscellaneous amendment

2. The Estate Agents (Licensing and Registration) Regulations 2010 (G.N. No. S 642/2010) are amended by deleting the words “hours of” in the following provisions:

Regulations 6(3)(b)(ii), 7(3)(a)(ii), 16(3)(b)(ii) and 17(3)(a)(ii).

Saving provision

3. Despite regulation 2, for the purpose of calculating the number of continuing professional development credit accumulated by a person before 1 October 2019, each hour of continuing professional development credit accumulated before that date is, on or after that date, to be treated as the equivalent number of continuing professional development credits.
