Massage Establishments Act
(Chapter 173)
Massage Establishments (Composition of Offences) Rules 2005
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 13 of the Massage Establishments Act, read with section 199A of the Criminal Procedure Code (Cap. 68), the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Massage Establishments (Composition of Offences) Rules 2005 and shall come into operation on 14th October 2005.
Compoundable offences
2.—(1)  An offence under rule 13 of the Massage Establishments Rules (R 1) in relation to the contravention of rule 6, 7(5), 9, 10(1) or 11 of those Rules may be compounded by the Licensing Officer in accordance with section 199A of the Criminal Procedure Code.
(2)  The Licensing Officer may compound an offence specified in paragraph (1) by collecting from the person reasonably suspected of having committed the offence a sum of money not exceeding $500.
