Land Titles (Amendment) Rules 2007

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 172(1)(b) of the Land Titles Act, the Singapore Land Authority, with the approval of the Minister for Law, hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Land Titles (Amendment) Rules 2007 and shall come into operation on 11th December 2007.

Amendment of rule 55

2. Rule 55 of the Land Titles Rules (R 1) (referred to in these Rules as the principal Rules) is amended by deleting paragraph (2) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(2) The additional fee payable under paragraph (1)(b) in respect of any instrument which is not in order for registration or notification shall be the fee specified in the Schedule.”.

Deletion and substitution of rule 58

3. Rule 58 of the principal Rules is deleted and the following rule substituted therefor:

“Remission, waiver and refunds

58. The Registrar may, in his discretion, remit, waive or refund, wholly or in part, any fee paid or payable under these Rules.”.

Amendment of Schedule

4. The Schedule to the principal Rules is amended by deleting item 20 in the first column and substituting the following item:

“20. Additional fee payable under rule 55 (1)(b)”.
