Medicines (Cosmetic Products) (Specification and Prohibition) (Amendment) Order 2003

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 30 and 54 of the Medicines Act, Mr Khaw Boon Wan, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Finance, charged with the responsibility of the Minister for Health, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Medicines (Cosmetic Products) (Specification and Prohibition) (Amendment) Order 2003 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2004.

Amendment of paragraph 2

2. Paragraph 2 of the Medicines (Cosmetic Products) (Specification and Prohibition) Order (O 16) is amended by inserting, immediately after the words “but does not include a soap” in the definition of “cosmetic product”, the words “or any oral dental gums as specified under the Medicines (Oral Dental Gums) (Specification) Order 2003 (G.N. No. S 662/2003)”.
