Small Motorised Vehicles (Safety)
(Amendment) Regulations 2021

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 27 of the Small Motorised Vehicles (Safety) Act 2020, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Small Motorised Vehicles (Safety) (Amendment) Regulations 2021 and come into operation on 2 September 2021.

Amendment of regulation 23

2. Regulation 23 of the Small Motorised Vehicles (Safety) Regulations 2021 (G.N. No. S 404/2021) is amended by inserting, immediately after paragraph (2), the following paragraph:

“(3) Where any distinguishing mark installed, affixed or engraved by the Authority on a non‑compliant small motorised vehicle under regulation 11(c)(i) or this regulation is lost, destroyed or damaged, the Authority may install, affix or engrave on the non‑compliant small motorised vehicle concerned a replacement distinguishing mark —

(a)	on application; and
(b)	on payment to the Authority of a replacement fee of $25 for each replacement distinguishing mark.”.
