(Chapter 2)
Public Accountants Board (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2002
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 74 of the Accountants Act, the Public Accountants Board, with the approval of the Minister for Finance, hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Public Accountants Board (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2002 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2003.
Amendment of First Schedule
2.  The First Schedule to the Public Accountants Board Rules (R 1, 2002 Ed.) is amended by inserting, immediately after item 4, the following item:
4A.  In addition to the fee specified in item 4, the fee for the renewal of a certificate of registration payable by a public accountant in respect of each accounting corporation or accounting firm in which he is practising as at 1st January of the year in respect of which the certificate of registration is renewed —
 
 
(a) where the accounting corporation or accounting firm has not audited any listed corporation from 1st January to 31st December of the year immediately preceding the year in respect of which the certificate of registration is renewed; and

(b) where the accounting corporation or accounting firm has audited the following number of listed corporations from 1st January to 31st December of the year immediately preceding the year in respect of which the certificate of registration is renewed:
 
 
(i) 1 to 5
 
$200
(ii) 6 to 20
 
$400
(iii) 21 to 50
 
$600
(iv) more than 50
 
$800.
