(Chapter 176)
Medicines (Medical Advertisements) (Amendment) Regulations 2005
In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 52 and 74 of the Medicines Act, the Minister for Health hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Medicines (Medical Advertisements) (Amendment) Regulations 2005 and shall come into operation on 1st November 2005.
Amendment of regulation 5
2.  Regulation 5 of the Medicines (Medical Advertisements) Regulations (Rg 2) (referred to in these Regulations as the principal Regulations) is amended by deleting the words “3 years” and substituting the words “one year”.
Deletion and substitution of regulation 13
3.  Regulation 13 of the principal Regulations is deleted and the following regulation substituted therefor:
Alteration, etc., of advertisement
13.  No person shall alter or amend any medical advertisement for which a permit has been granted unless —
(a)he has made an application in such form as the licensing authority may require to amend the permit to reflect such alteration or amendment; and
(b)the application is approved by the licensing authority.”.
Amendment of regulation 14
4.  Regulation 14 (1) of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting sub-paragraph (c) and substituting the following sub-paragraph:
(c)an application to amend a permit,”.
Deletion and substitution of Schedule
5.  The Schedule to the principal Regulations is deleted and the following Schedule substituted therefor:

(a) an advertisement using light and sound projection

(b) an advertisement not using light and sound projection
