Women’s Charter (Registration of Marriages) (Amendment) Rules 2002

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 180(1) of the Women’s Charter, Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister of State, Ministry of Community Development and Sports, charged with the responsibility of the Minister for Community Development and Sports, hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Women’s Charter (Registration of Marriages) (Amendment) Rules 2002 and shall come into operation on 2nd January 2003.

Amendment of rule 5

2. Rule 5(2) of the Women’s Charter (Registration of Marriages) Rules (R 3, 2002 Ed.) is amended by inserting, immediately after the word “time”, the word “, witnesses”.
