Town Council of Pasir Ris-punggol (Conservancy and Service Charges) (Amendment) By-laws 2002

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24(1) of the Town Councils Act, the Town Council for the Town of Pasir Ris-Punggol hereby makes the following By-laws:

Citation and commencement

1. These By-laws may be cited as the Town Council of Pasir Ris-Punggol (Conservancy and Service Charges) (Amendment) By-laws 2002 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2003.

Deletion and substitution of by-law 3

2. By-law 3 of the Town Council of Pasir Ris-Punggol (Conservancy and Service Charges) By-laws 2002 (G.N. No. S 361/2002) is deleted and the following by-law substituted therefor:

“Goods and services tax

3. The conservancy and service charges specified in the Schedule are inclusive of the goods and services tax chargeable under the Goods and Services Tax Act (Cap. 117A) on the services in respect of which such conservancy and service charges are payable.”.

Amendment of Schedule

3. The Schedule to the Town Council of Pasir Ris-Punggol (Conservancy and Service Charges) By-laws 2002 is amended —

(a)

by deleting items 8 to 13 and substituting the following items:

8. Executive apartment

$76

$76.

9. Executive apartment (Design and Build)

$80.50

$80.50.

10. Shop with living accommodation

$1.56 per square metre of the area of the shop subject to a minimum of $52 in addition to the reduced rate of conservancy and service charges for the equivalent room type specified in items 1 to 9.

11. Premises for use as —

(a) Child care centre or family service centre approved by the Ministry of Community Development and Sports (MCDS), PAP community foundation education centre or kindergarten

11.96 cents per square metre of the area of the premises.

(b) Neighbourhood Police Post or Singapore Civil Defence Post

78 cents per square metre of the area of the premises.

No charge.

12. Premises used for the purposes of a charity as defined in section 2 of the Charities Act (Cap. 37)

11.96 cents per square metre of the area of the premises.

13. Other commercial property

$1.56 per square metre of the area of the premises subject to a minimum of $52.”; and

(b)

by deleting the words “items 1 to 7” in paragraph (2) under the heading “Note” and substituting the words “items 1 to 9”.
