(Exemption) (Amendment)
Order 2024
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 69 of the Central Provident Fund Act 1953, the Minister for Manpower makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.—(1)  This Order is the Central Provident Fund (Exemption) (Amendment) Order 2024 and, except for paragraph 3, comes into operation on 1 October 2024.
(2)  Paragraph 3 is deemed to have come into operation on 31 December 2021.
Amendment of Schedule
2.  In the Central Provident Fund (Exemption) Order 2018 (G.N. No. S 61/2018), in the Schedule —
(a)in paragraph 2, replace “stationed” with “that is located”; and
(b)after paragraph 2, insert —
2A.  An employee of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development who is assigned to work for the International Energy Agency Regional Cooperation Centre that is located in Singapore.”.
Miscellaneous amendments
3.  In the Central Provident Fund (Exemption) Order 2018, in the Schedule —
(a)in paragraph 5(b), replace “(Cap. 141A)” with “1992”;
(b)in paragraph 5(d), delete “Cap. 87A,”;
(c)in paragraph 8(a), replace “(Cap. 87)” with “1957”;
(d)in paragraph 8(c), replace “(Cap. 284A)” with “1990”; and
(e)in paragraph 10, in the definition of “private education institution”, replace “(Cap. 247A)” with “2009”.
