(Self-Employed Persons)
(Amendment) Regulations 2017

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 77(1) of the Central Provident Fund Act, the Minister for Manpower, after consulting with the Central Provident Fund Board, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Central Provident Fund (Self‑Employed Persons) (Amendment) Regulations 2017 and come into operation on 1 January 2018.

Amendment of regulation 2

2. Regulation 2 of the Central Provident Fund (Self‑Employed Persons) Regulations (Rg 25) is amended by deleting paragraph (2) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(2) Despite section 2(1A)(b) of the Act, for the purposes of these Regulations, the anniversary of the date of birth of a person who is born on 29 February, in any year that is not a leap year, is deemed to be 28 February of that year.”.
