(Lifelong Income Scheme)
(Amendment No. 3) Regulations 2017

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 27Q of the Central Provident Fund Act, the Minister for Manpower makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Central Provident Fund (Lifelong Income Scheme) (Amendment No. 3) Regulations 2017 and come into operation on 1 January 2018.

New regulation 3A

2. The Central Provident Fund (Lifelong Income Scheme) Regulations 2009 (G.N. No. S 393/2009) are amended by inserting, immediately after regulation 3, the following regulation:

“Deemed date of birth for members born in leap year

3A. For the purposes of these Regulations, the anniversary of the date of birth of a person who is born on 29 February, in any year that is not a leap year, is deemed to be 28 February of that year, despite section 2(1A)(b) of the Act.”.
