Legal Profession Act
Legal Profession (Accountant’s Report) (Amendment) Rules 2000
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 73(4) and (6) of the Legal Profession Act, the Council of the Law Society of Singapore, with the approval of the Chief Justice, hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Legal Profession (Accountant’s Report) (Amendment) Rules 2000 and shall come into operation on 1st March 2000.
Amendment of rule 6
2.  The Legal Profession (Accountant’s Report) Rules (R 10) is amended by renumbering rule 6 as paragraph (1) of that rule, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:
“(2)  The accountant’s report must include the identification number of the accountant giving the report.”.
Amendment of Schedule
3.  The Schedule to the Legal Profession (Accountant’s Report) Rules is amended by inserting, immediately after the item relating to “Full name” under the heading of “Particulars of the Accountant””, the following item:
“Singapore NRIC No./FIN ______________________”.
