(Amendment No. 2) Rules 2024

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 34D and 140(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1961, the Minister for Transport makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Road Traffic (Electronic Road Pricing System) (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2024 and come into operation on 1 October 2024.

Amendment of rule 7

2. In the Road Traffic (Electronic Road Pricing System) Rules 2015 (G.N. No. S 226/2015), in rule 7 —

(a)

after paragraph (2), insert —

“(2A) The Registrar may allow a grace period for the person mentioned in paragraph (2) to make payment of the road‑user charge incurred by the person before issuing the notice mentioned in that paragraph.”; and

(b)

in paragraph (3), after “makes payment of the”, insert “road‑user charge within the grace period allowed under paragraph (2A) or the”.
