Regulation of Imports and Exports Act

(Chapter 272A)

Regulation of Imports and Exports (Amendment) Regulations 2010

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Regulation of Imports and Exports Act, the Minister for Trade and Industry hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Regulation of Imports and Exports (Amendment) Regulations 2010 and shall come into operation on 15th February 2010.

Amendment of Seventh Schedule

2. The Seventh Schedule to the Regulation of Imports and Exports Regulations (Rg 1) is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately before sub-paragraph (a) of paragraph (1) in the second column against the country “Democratic People’s Republic of Korea”, the following sub-paragraph:

“(a)

arms;”;

(b)

by inserting, immediately before sub-paragraph (a) of paragraph (1) in the third column against the country “Democratic People’s Republic of Korea”, the following sub-paragraph:

“(a)	arms, except for small arms and light weapons;”;

(c)

by re-lettering the existing sub-paragraphs (a) to (g) of paragraph (1) in the second and third columns against the country “Democratic People’s Republic of Korea” as sub-paragraphs (b) to (h), respectively;

(d)

by deleting paragraph (2) in the second and third columns against the country “Democratic People’s Republic of Korea” and substituting the following paragraph:

“

Prohibited exports and goods in transit

(2)	Related matériel, including spare parts, of any item falling under paragraph (1).

(2)	Related matériel, including spare parts, of any item falling under paragraph (1).

”; and

(e)

by deleting the word “material” in paragraph (2) in the second column against the country “Iran” and substituting the word “matériel”.
