(Registration of Construction Personnel)
(Amendment) Regulations 2014

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 35 of the Building and Construction Authority Act, the Building and Construction Authority, with the approval of the Minister for National Development, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Building and Construction Authority (Registration of Construction Personnel) (Amendment) Regulations 2014 and shall come into operation on 1 January 2015.

Amendment of regulation 2

2. Regulation 2(1) of the Building and Construction Authority (Registration of Construction Personnel) Regulations 2008 (G.N. No. S 642/2008) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the definitions of “ “construction foreman” and “construction tradesman” ” and substituting the following definition:

“ “construction foreman” has the same meaning as in section 29H(5) of the Building Control Act (Cap. 29);”; and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after the definition of “construction supervisor”, the following definition:

“ “construction tradesman” has the same meaning as in section 29H(5) of the Building Control Act;”.
