Employment of Foreign Workers (Levy) (Amendment No. 3) Order 2004

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 11(1) of the Employment of Foreign Workers Act, the Minister for Manpower hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Employment of Foreign Workers (Levy) (Amendment No. 3) Order 2004 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st December 2004.

Amendment of paragraph 5

2. Paragraph 5 of the Employment of Foreign Workers (Levy) Order (O 1) is amended by inserting, immediately after sub-paragraph (1), the following sub-paragraph:

“(1A) The Minister may remit, in whole or in part in the circumstances of any particular case, the levy referred to in sub-paragraph (1)(b).”.
