Casino Control (Exemption for Opening of Casino At Resorts World Sentosa) Order 2010
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 198 of the Casino Control Act, the Casino Regulatory Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Home Affairs, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation
1.  This Order may be cited as the Casino Control (Exemption for Opening of Casino at Resorts World Sentosa) Order 2010.
Definitions
2.  In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires —
“casino operator” means Resorts World at Sentosa Pte. Ltd.;
“invited guest” means an individual whom the casino operator has invited to the opening of its casino and whose name is on the list of invited guests submitted to the Authority under paragraph 4(1)(a).
Exemption
3.  Subject to paragraph 4, section 116 of the Act shall not apply to, and in relation to, an invited guest of the casino operator entering or remaining on the casino premises of the casino operator at any time during the period commencing on 1000 hours and ending on 2359 hours on 14th February 2010 (referred to in this Order as the exemption period).
Conditions of exemption
4.—(1)  The exemption in paragraph 3 shall be subject to the following conditions:
(a)the casino operator shall issue written invitations to each invited guest by name, and shall furnish the list of names of invited guests to the Authority not later than 24 hours before the commencement of the exemption period;
(b)the invited guest shall leave the casino premises at or before the end of the exemption period;
(c)the casino operator shall verify the identity of every invited guest before allowing the entry or exit of the invited guest to or from the casino premises;
(d)the invited guest shall, upon the request of any employee of the casino operator, produce the written invitation referred to in sub-paragraph (a) issued to him, or other form of identification, before entering or leaving the casino premises; and
(e)the invited guest shall not take part in any gaming whilst he is in the casino premises during the exemption period.
(2)  If any condition in sub-paragraph (1) is not complied with —
(a)by the casino operator in respect of any invited guest; or
(b)by any invited guest,
the exemption in paragraph 3 shall not apply to, and in relation to, that invited guest.
