(Amendment) Regulations 2023
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 77 of the Environmental Protection and Management Act 1999, the National Environment Agency, with the approval of the Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Environmental Protection and Management (Hazardous Substances) (Amendment) Regulations 2023 and come into operation on 21 August 2023.
Amendment of regulation 2
2.  In the Environmental Protection and Management (Hazardous Substances) Regulations (Rg 4), in regulation 2(1), after the definition of “carrier”, insert —
“ “Chemical Weapons Convention” means the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on their Destruction concluded at Paris on 13 January 1993;”.
