Building Control
(Composition of Offences)
(Amendment) Regulations 2022
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 48(3) of the Building Control Act 1989, the Minister for National Development makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Building Control (Composition of Offences) (Amendment) Regulations 2022 and come into operation on 31 October 2022.
Amendment of regulation 2
2.  In regulation 2 of the Building Control (Composition of Offences) Regulations 2012 (G.N. No. S 443/2012) —
(a)in paragraph (a), replace “33(4A) or 43(2)” with “28(10) or 33(4A)”;
(b)after paragraph (a), insert —
(aa)an offence under —
(i)section 43(2) of the Act as in force before 1 January 2022; or
(ii)section 43(7) of the Act as in force on or after that date;
(ab)an offence under section 28(5A) of the Act but not a continuing offence mentioned in section 28(5A)(b) of the Act;
(ac)an offence under section 28(9) of the Act but not a continuing offence mentioned in that section;”;
(c)in paragraph (l), delete “and” at the end;
(d)in paragraph (m), replace the full‑stop at the end with a semi‑colon; and
(e)after paragraph (m), insert —
(n)an offence under regulation 3(2), 4(2), 5(3), 12(2), 13(2) or 14(3) of the Building Control (Periodic Inspection of Buildings and Building Façades) Regulations 2021 (G.N. No. S 785/2021).”.
