Interpretation (Singapore Food Agency —
Fees for Certificates for Export)
Order 2024
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 46(1) of the Interpretation Act 1965, the Minister for Sustainability and the Environment makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order is the Interpretation (Singapore Food Agency — Fees for Certificates for Export) Order 2024 and comes into operation on 12 November 2024.
Definitions
2.  In this Order —
“Agency” means the Singapore Food Agency established by section 3 of the Singapore Food Agency Act 2019;
“animal feed” has the meaning given by section 2 of the Feeding Stuffs Act 1965;
“food” has the meaning given by section 2A of the Sale of Food Act 1973;
“foreign country” means a country or territory outside Singapore;
“handling”, in relation to food, has the meaning given by section 2 of the Sale of Food Act 1973.
Application
3.  This Order applies to any certificate issued by the Agency relating to any food or animal feed intended for export to a foreign country, attesting to matters in respect of which the foreign country requires certification before the food or animal feed may be imported into that foreign country from Singapore, except the following:
(a)any such certificate issued under the Wholesome Meat and Fish Act 1999, including any export health certificate issued under rule 8 of the Wholesome Meat and Fish (Import, Export and Transhipment) Rules (R 2);
(b)any such certificate issued under the Animals and Birds Act 1965, including —
(i)any certificate of freedom from disease issued under section 18 of that Act; and
(ii)any health certificate issued under rule 8 of the Animals and Birds (Live Fish) Rules 2011 (G.N. No. S 27/2011).
Fees
4.  The fee specified in the second column of the Schedule is payable to the Agency for the issue of any certificate specified opposite in the first column.
